Makine ve Kimya Endüstrisi continues to develop the weapons and systems required by the Turkish Armed Forces as well as friendly and allied countries on the battlefield, drawing on its centuries-old experience and advanced engineering capabilities. First unveiled to the public at SAHA 2026, the MKE ALPAY-2 Minefield Breaching System is one of its latest state-of-the-art solutions.
MKE ALPAY-2 has been developed entirely with domestic and national capabilities by MKE engineers to ensure the safe advance of mechanised units and dismounted personnel through mined areas during operations. Mounted on an armoured vehicle and powered by a 100% electric engine, the system is capable of effectively countering both anti-tank and anti-personnel mines.
The unmanned system can also be operated via remote control. Weighing 18 tonnes, ALPAY-2 can achieve an operational range of up to 750 kilometres with generator support. Designed to operate under harsh environmental conditions, the vehicle is capable of climbing steep gradients and crossing trenches, enabling it to reach designated areas safely. Equipped with two munition cassettes, ALPAY-2 features multiple firing capability. Each cassette contains a substantial explosive charge, which is delivered to detected minefields via rocket propulsion and detonated remotely, ensuring the clearance of threats in the targeted area. Remotely controlled from distances of up to 3 kilometres, the system is capable of neutralising mines buried up to 1 metre underground within a corridor measuring 10 metres in width and 100 metres in length, thereby creating a safe passage. Once the area is confirmed to be cleared, mechanised and infantry units can proceed securely through the opened corridor. Providing a reliable solution to mine-contaminated areas, which remain a major global threat, MKE ALPAY-2 also stands out with its strong export potential.
